Soft Metals released a video for “Lenses” off an album of the same name on Captured Tracks. I saw Soft Metals perform at Kobo last week. The Echo Park residents of Portland Oregon-orgin brought a hypnotic, loungey synth-pop sound which was augmented by lead-singer Patricia Hall’s dreamy but sophisticated vocals. The whole performance was outstandingly subdued.
